We serve to fulfill the great commandment to love God and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40) . At Blue Oaks we want you to serve according to your giftedness. This means finding places to serve that fit your unique combination of Spiritual Gifts, Personality Style and Ministry Passion. How to Get Started?
We want to help you find a place to serve our church and community in ways that tap into your spiritual gifts, strengths, and passions. We have many predefined roles in every ministry, but we’re also open to defining a new position just for you. You can serve on Sunday mornings during services or throughout the week. The best way for us to be the light to others is through serving and loving others.
Connect through Serving
We design every serving opportunity as a team sport so you can build friendships with others who attend Blue Oaks. Strong relationships are built through the shared experience of purpose-filled work.
First Serve
We want to allow you to try out a team before committing. We call that a first serve. After working with the serve coordinator to identify a few options, you try it out if you like and want to continue; great! If not, we’ll try another first serve until you love what you do.
