Elders
When we started Blue Oaks Church, we wanted to adhere to biblical principles of church governance and the best practices we could find. We found both in the ECFA. The ECFA has defined 9 principles of responsible stewardship and we have been accredited since 2014. One of the 9 principles relates to Governance. The ECFA standard reads:
“Every organization shall be governed by a responsible board of not less than five individuals, a majority of whom shall be independent, who shall meet at least semiannually to establish policy and review its accomplishments.”
