Sunday Feature, February 28

Jesus uses the story of The Good Samaritan to completely change how people who follow Him should look at showing kindness to others. It’s not just for people we know or like, but for everyone we meet. Everyone is deserving of our kindness, whether they look, act or think like us or not. We hope kids learn from a young age, that God’s love is for EVERYONE. Jesus modeled love and kindness that included everyone. We should do the same.

Bottom Line: Be kind to people who are different from you.

Talk About It Together!

  1. What made the hurt man and the Samaritan different from each other?
  2. Did that stop the Samaritan from helping the hurt man?
  3. How can you be kind to someone who’s different from you?

View Previous Weeks:

  1. What does it mean to “go the extra mile”?
  2. Why is going the extra mile a great way to show kindness?
  3. When has someone gone the extra mile for you? How did it feel?
  4. What can you do this week to go the extra mile?
  1. What does it mean to “clothe yourself” with kindness?
  2. Why is it sometimes harder to be kind to the people we see all the time…and easier to be kind to people we don’t know very well?
  1. Look up Ephesians 4:32 and read it together. How would you say that verse in your own words?
  2. According to our verse, why should we be kind to others? Can you think of any other reasons?
