When we think of Jesus, it’s probably safe to say people don’t associate him as a “Rule Breaker.”
But he broke lots of rules…
And people hated him for it and still do today…2,000 years later!
If you’ve ever broken rules, and I’m sure you have (we ALL have), what does that say about you?
Has your life been in danger because of a rule you broke? Probably not. Me neither.
But some rules were meant to be broken. And Jesus broke them all the time.
That didn’t sit well with some leaders of his time. So they killed him for it.
So we decided to unpack four rules Jesus broke that got him killed, and the impact that has for you and me.
You don’t go to church? Not interested in anything the church has to offer? Can’t blame you. And you’re not alone. But we still want to invite you.
Our church is full of people who, at one point, really didn’t care for the church, but they do care about learning what might be true.
No one here is trying to get anything from you.
But we do want something for you. During November, before your Sunday gets off to its start, come over to Blue Oaks Church and sit in a service.
We have no rules, other than to relax, learn, and walk away fulfilled.
Hope to see Sunday.
