One of the most recognized stories about David is his adulterous affair with Bathsheba and his murderous attempts to cover it up. If this man, a spiritual giant, could act in such a way, what does it say about us and our tendency to sin?
In the message this Sunday we’re going to talk about the crossroads we all come to, and how to take action to correct a wayward path away from God. We will see how drifting away from God happens. We will hopefully learn to recognize spiritual warning lights. We will learn why it’s so important to avoid covering up our sin. We will see how David missed taking the right course of action time and time again, and how destructive it was for him and those around him.
If we can learn from David’s example and recognize our tendencies to sin, it will save us from a mountain of pain and regret. And the sooner we learn this, the better.
