How do we learn how to love the difficult people in our lives?
We all have difficult people in our lives. This isn’t easy to hear, but the way we treat difficult people reveals the condition of our hearts. It really does. And having difficult people in our lives can actually help us to grow spiritually in ways that we couldn’t otherwise.
In this passage the Apostle Paul says people that have been enemies for a long time, people that are difficult for each other, are coming together. Christian community is never easy. Christian community is not and is not supposed to be easy. Henri Nouwen says this about community, “It’s the place where the person you least want to live with always lives.”
