Fatigue can be found in those who are constantly rushed, always late, indecisive, superficial, and unconnected with not only themselves, but with God and others. They find themselves spiritually drained and unable to show love.
Jesus said in Matthew 11, “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Jesus is essentially saying, “I’ll teach you another way to live.” He was so serious about this that as he was thinking about how to describe his concern for the human race, he said in John 10, “I am the Good Shepherd.”
This week look to the Good Shepherd to find specific guides that can help us find the peace, contentment and rest for which our weary souls, minds and bodies ache.
