Greed, or wrongful desire, takes many different forms — work, approval, vanity, television, food — and they end up ruining our lives because of our addictions.
Greed starts out as a small snowball rolling down a steep hill, but it can quickly become a treacherous avalanche killing everything in its path. This is the end result of greed.
We must make a decision that we will not express desires in ways that dishonor God. That’s Paul’s instruction to us in Romans 6:11 — “In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
If you’re going down the wrong road, listen, and let the Spirit speak to you.
