God’s plan is for his followers to have influence with unchurched people where we work, play, live, relate, and do business. Without investing in meaningful relationships with unchurched people the Church is in danger of becoming arrogant, self righteous, and self-centered.
It is crucial that we develop relationships with people far from God, actively engage them in spiritually significant conversations, and invite them to church where they can be exposed to a community of faith and hear the Gospel.
Not everyone is gifted in one-on-one evangelism. That’s why it is so important that we use our church services to be more effective in carrying out the mission Jesus gave us – to lead our community into Christ-centered living.
Blue Oaks Church is not the “Field of Dreams.” If you build it, they won’t come… unless you invite them.
